A CALL TO PERSEVERE

Jude 17-22

“But dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, ‘In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.’ These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fires and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”

This scripture has been one of my favorites since the beginning of my ministry. The sentence that says “snatch others from the fires and save them” is the driving force for my life and ministry. As satan deceives so many with his lies, and they are on the road to an eternity of life in hell, in my obedience to God, I go forth, preach and share the living Word of God, the salvation of Jesus Christ, and lives are radically changed, therefore, they are snatched from the fires of hell!! Hallelujah!!!!

John 14:6 - Jesus is the way, the truth and the life! No one gets to the Father except through Jesus Christ!

We need to go forth in this final hour and tell all who will listen, that Jesus is coming back soon for his bride! We need to share with others his love, his grace and mercy. Yes, you will encounter scoffers and people will rise up against you, but you have to remember those who you “snatch from the fires” in the process. When you spend time in the Word and in the presence of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to empower your life, you will be used in ways you never thought possible.

Take Jesus to the nations – the time is short – go, go, go!!!!

WHAT IS YOUR ASSIGNMENT?

Psalm 139:14 – 16: I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

You are here for a reason! Do you believe that? It didn’t just happen that you are here. You were fearfully and wonderfully made by God the Word says. God created you with a purpose and an assignment. Your assignment is not something that comes with instructions when you are born, it is revealed to you as you spend time with the Father. No one else knows your assignment.

Unfortunately, many times, people do not fulfill their assignment or fulfill it to the potential God has because of fear. Fear is not of God! Fear comes from the pit of hell to keep you from fulfilling your purpose / assignment in this life. To be victorious and not allow satan to rob you from what God has, you need to memorize the Word. Below are verses that will assist you in fighting the battle of fear. Memorize them, recite them, and use them against the powers of darkness. If you stand on the Word of God, you will be victorious and you will begin to see incredible things happen in your life and you will be used in ways by God that you never could imagine.

1. Psalm 118:6 - The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

2. I John 4:4 - You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

3. Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

4. Judges 6:23 - But the LORD said to him, “Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die.”

5. Luke 12:7 - Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

6. Psalms 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

7. Deuteronomy 20:4 - For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

8. Isaiah 43:1 - But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

9. Psalm 27:1 - The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

10. Hebrews 13:6 - So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Be encouraged this day! Seek God to reveal your assignment. The time is short and we are all needed to spread the good news about the gift of salvation and the wonderful grace of Jesus Christ.

BORN TO CONQUER

You were not born again to live a defeated life - you were born again to conquer through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Deuteronomy 28:5 - "Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed." This verse is talking about your finances and resources.

Deuteronomy 28:6 - "You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out."

Everything you touch will be blessed: your spouse will be blessed, your children will be blessed, your job will be blessed - EVERYTHING - all because you are a child of God!

These next two verses, if you have never prayed or believed them, you are missing out. Many times in my life, when people have risen up against me, even "Christians," the Lord reminded me of this verse and I prayed it daily and the Lord did exactly what he said – he protected & delivered me from them.

Deuteronomy 28:7 - "The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven."

Isaiah 54:17 - "NO weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me...."

It’s so amazing to be that when I became a child of God, God entered into a covenant with me and it’s a covenant that cannot be broken. I can stand on the promises and the Word of God for my everyday life problems.

Deuteronomy 28:8 – “The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.”

You do not belong to the devil – that’s your “land.” Your house does not belong to the devil, or your spouse, nor your children. That’s your land, it’s yours.

It’s time to stand up! Get a spiritual backbone – stand on the Living Word of God, and let the devil know that he is not going to destroy your life. He is not going to destroy your marriage, your kids, your finances.

Take the violent by force – Matthew 11:12: “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffer violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Shout Hallelujah –
THE VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!

Dreams

I'm sure those of you reading this blog have dreams. Dreams that you intend to accomplish one day. Unfortunately, life is passing by quickly and your dreams seem to be getting farther and farther away. Soon the second coming of Jesus will be upon us and we won't be able to finished our dreams.
Today I was reading in my Wisdom Bible a section that focus' on 31 Facts You Should Know About Achieving Our Dreams. It had so much information, scripture reference that it's going to take me sometime to read. One point that really stuck in my mind today is:

  • Your success cannot begin until you fuel your passion for the dream within in. Scripture reference is Nehemiah 1:1-11

Nehemiah's Prayer

1 The words of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah: In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa,

2 Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.

3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”

4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.

5 Then I said: “O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands,

6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father's house, have committed against you.

7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.

8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations,

9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’

10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand.

11 O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”

This thought really motivated me, to the point, I began fueling my passion for one of my dreams. I today, began writing my book. The Lord has spoke to me about it years ago, and with all my years and experiences in youth ministry, I would be a fool not to do it. So today, I have completed the introduction and I have began chapter one! What a cool feeling.

Proof That The Bible Is The Word of God

Today I was reading something in my Bible that Mike Murdock wrote about. It was entitled: 3 Proofs That The Bible Is The Word Of God. I found it to be a good reminder so I thought I would place it on my blog for you to read.

  • No Human Would Have Written A Standard As High As The Scriptures Teach -- Isaiah 55:9 "“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
  • The Changes That Occur In Those Who Embrace The Word Of God Are Supernatural -- II Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
  • The Very Presence Of A Bible Often Produces An Aura And Change In The Atmosphere -- Acts 8:26-39
