II Timothy 3:16 -17 “ALL Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Many times people want to argue that because the Bible was written by a “man” there must be an errors or personal opinion but into it. Christians are even guilty of this. They believe one part of the Bible as truth and other parts as man’s interpretation. The Bible is God’s original message to humanity and the only infallible witness to God’s saving activity for all people.

In my studies today I came across an article in my study Bible on the Inspiration and Authority of Scripture. I want to put this out there for you to read because it is very good for understanding that all Scripture is God-breathed.

Let’s look at some things regarding this subject:

1. In this scripture, Paul affirms that all Scripture is “God-breathed” (Gk theopneustos, from two Greek words: theos, meaning “God,” and pneō, meaning “to breathe”). Scripture is the very life and Word of God. Down to the very words of the original manuscripts, the Bible is without error, absolutely true, trustworthy and infallible. This is true not only when it speaks of salvation, ethical values and morality, but it is also without error on all subjects about which it speaks, including history and the cosmos (cf II Peter 1:20-21).

2. The OT writers were conscious of the fact that what they said to the people and what they wrote down was God’s word to them (see Dt 18:18; II Samuel 23:2). Over and over the prophets prefaced their comments with, “This is what the Lord says.”

3. Jesus Christ himself taught that Scripture is God’s inspired Word to even the smallest detail (Matthew 5:18). He also affirmed that all he said he received from the Father and it true (John 5:19,30-31; 7:16, 8:26). He further spoke of revelation yet to come from the Holy Spirit through the apostles (John 16:13; cf. 14:16-17; 15:26-27).

4. If you deny the full inspiration of holy Scripture, therefore, is to set aside the fundamental witness of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:18; 15:3-6; Luke 16:7; 24:25-27, 44-45; John 10:35) the Holy Spirit (John 15:26; 16:13; I Cor. 2:12-13; I Timothy 4:1) and the apostles (II Tim 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21). Also, to limit or disregard its inerrancy is to impair it’s divine authority.

5. In his work of inspiration by his Spirit, God while not violating the personality of the writers, moved on them in such a way that they wrote without error (II Tim 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).

6. The inspired Word of God is the expression of God’s wisdom and character and is therefore able to give wisdom and spiritual life through faith in Christ (Matthew 4:4; John 6:63; II Timothy 3:15; I Peter 2:2).

7. he Bible is God’s infallible, true witness to his saving activity for humanity in Christ Jesus. For this reason Scripture is incomparable, forever finished and uniquely binding. No human words or declarations of religious institutions are equal to its authority.

8. All doctrines, commentaries, interpretations, explanations and traditions must be judged and legitimized by the words and message in Scripture (Dt 13:3).

9. God’s Word must be received, believed and obeyed as the final authority in all things pertaining to life and godliness (Matthew 5:17-19; John 14:21; 15:10; II Timothy 3:15-16). It must be used in the church as final authority to all matters for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteous living (II Timothy 3:16-17). One cannot submit to Christ’s lordship without submitting to God and his Word as the ultimate authority (John 8:31-32,37).

10. The Bible can only be understood when we are in a right relation to the Holy Spirit. It is he who opens our minds to understand its meaning and gives us the inward witness of its authority.

11. We must use the inspired Word to conquer the power of sin, satan and the world in our lives (Matthew 4:4; Ephesians 6:12,17; James 1:21).

12. Scripture must be loved, treasured and guarded by all church members who see it as God’s only truth for a lost and dying world. We must safeguard its doctrines by faithfully adhering to its teaching, proclaiming its saving message, entrusting it to reliable people and defending it against all those who would distort or destroy its eternal truths. No one may add anything to or take anything away from Scripture.

13. Finally, we should note that inerrant inspiration applies only to the original writing of the Biblical books. Thus, whenever one finds in Scripture something that appears to be in error, rather than assuming that the writer made a mistake, one should remember that three possibilities exist with regard to any apparent problem: (a) the existing copies of the original manuscript may not be totally accurate; (b) the present day translation of the Hebrew or Greek Biblical text may be faulty; or (c) one’s understanding or interpretation of the Biblical text may be inadequate or incorrect.

Many Christian people today don’t believe in the INFALLIBLE Word of God. That is just opening up for satan and his demons to come in and fill you with doubt regarding God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Thank you God for your instruction book on how we should live here and now!

MY HEART REJOICES

Psalm 13:5-6
“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord for he has been good to me.”

These two little verses say so much to me!

"I trust in your unfailing love." God’s love for us is so incredible, that he gave his only Son, Jesus, that if we believe in him, we will not perish but have ever lasting life (John 3:16). I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I would spare my only child’s life so others could live. That is a big sacrifice, but yet God, didn’t think about himself, but the love he has for us.

I get so tired of every time something goes wrong in this world, people are so quick to blame God. A mother chooses to kill her own children, automatically it’s God’s fault. A gang member robs a store and kills everyone in it so it's God’s fault. A relative sexually assaults a family member, so it’s God’s fault. God has created you, formed you, breathed life into your being and only wants the best for you as you would want for your own child. You are fearfully and wonderfully made – Psalm 139:13-16. He cares so much that he gave you a free will to chose your own eternity. You can either accept Jesus as your Lord and savior and allow your life to be changed for the good, and spend eternity walking on streets of gold, or you can chose to live your own life, just as you please and partake of the things in this world and spend eternity in the lake of fire, where your flesh will be burned off and will grow back, only to be burnt off again, and to continuously do this for all eternity. The choice is yours just like that mother chose to kill her children. No one forced her, it was her choice. Or the gang member who robbed the store. He chose to do that. His mamma didn’t chose that for him, he did that all by himself. Or the family member who sexually assaults a family member. That was their choice. Don’t blame God for what others do or for the mess you make of your own life because you have been given the gift of free will. God wants to spend an eternity with people who love him and want to be with him, not to have a heaven full of people he made serve him that's why we have free will.

"My heart rejoices in your salvation" - Life has not been a bed of roses for me, but I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior. I’ve choose to serve him, love him and fellowship with him. I thank God each day for my salvation because it cost God very much and I don’t take lightly what Jesus did on that cross for me. If I was the only person on this earth, Jesus still would have died on that cross for me. No greater love will you ever experience in your life.

"I will sing to the Lord for he has been good to me." – God has been so good to me. He has allowed me to be involved in some incredible ministries; I have one of the best friends anyone could have – my husband Todd; I have a great dog who is a lot of fun and added so much to our lives – Judah; I have three incredible step-sons – Thomas, Taylor and Theodore; I have some wonderful family members and friends. God has blessed our life financially, delivered us from a mountain of debt; he has healed my body; and the list goes on and on. I have an incredible God and thank him each and everyday for all he has done in my heart and life. My cup is running over filled with joy and so appreciative of his goodness in my life! I will profess his salvation and his joy in my life till the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ!

My prayer is that many will find joy, happiness and completeness in Jesus!

MORAL RESPONSIBILITY

This morning while doing my morning chores I had the Christian television station on. This pastor came on that I particularly don’t care for but he was talking about a topic that drew my attention.

Rod Parsley was talking about the holocaust and the fact that 6 million Jews died in the concentration camps and gas chamber. While President Bush was in Israel he went to the Yad Vashem Museum
(
http://www.yadvashem.org/) dedicated to those that were martyred by Hitler. President Bush apparently was upset and saying “Why didn’t anyone intervene?” “Why didn’t the military go in?” “We had a moral responsibility to help these people.” Well, as Rod Parsley pointed out, we have a moral responsibility as well regarding the 52 million babies who have been aborted this far.

Something I never thought about was the fact that Planned Parenthood is given grants from the government which is supported by our federal taxes. This outraged me because I would never give to such an organization that promoted abortions. So on Rod Parsley’s website he has a place where you can go in and sign a petition he is taking to Congress to de-fund Planned Parenthood immediately. If you would like to do your moral duty as a Christian and sign the form, go to support this bill.

http://www.centerformoralclarity.net/DefundPlannedParenthood.aspx

The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a racist, and she didn’t believe handicaps had a right to live, and so much more. I encourage you to research Margaret Sanger and find out who the woman is that started this organization.

As it talks about in scripture, God created us - he formed us and has a plan for our lives as he did for each of those 52 millions babies who have been aborted. Why is it when a child who is young passes away, people say, "They were too young to die" or "Children should never pass before their parent" or "They had such potential" but when a baby is aborted, it doesn't matter, it's only a fetus. No, it was a baby, a child who had the right to live but it's right was taken away. Do your part for the Kingdom of God! It's easy to make a change, sign the petition....you don't have to go to Washington, it's at your finger tips....sign the petition and do your moral part, please!

Psalms 139:13-16

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

Lord Jesus – have mercy on us!

POWERFUL PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS

James 5:16…….”The prayer of a righteous man is powerful & effective.”
So many times people say “my prayers are never answered” or “I pray and nothing changes.” Well, there are many reasons why our prayers are not answered but I’m not going to explore them at this time. What I am going to say is the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective as it tells us in James. When you’re living a righteous life, a life that is morally upright, without guilt or sin, your prayers are POWERFUL. You will be able to look at that mountain in your life and say, mountain be thou removed.
(Matthew 21:21 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.)

I remember as a new Christian, I had no clue what to pray about or how to even say it. So I would go to prayer meetings and listen to how people prayed. But as I grew in the knowledge of the Lord and the Word, I developed my prayer life. Being a “veteran” Christian, I still have much to learn but I also have learned much. I know that there is a God that is listening to each my prayers and he answers them.

We are living in the last days, the final hours and the scoffers are rising up, even in the Church. People don’t believe it even though the signs are all around us. Here me now people – Jesus is coming quickly!!!! It may be in the next few hours or in the next few years, but he is coming. Read the newspaper, read the news on the internet, see what is happening in the world around us, and read the Word and see how it all falls into place. You can live in denial, but I refuse. I am going to go forth, I am going to preach the Word, and I’m going to bring healing to so many lost souls.

Prayer – Prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Pray for your loved ones who have never accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Pray for your family members who need healing and believe for that healing. Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ, so that they may stand against the evil one. Pray, pray, pray!!!!
